This workshop is a great introduction for using African wax print fabrics in quilts. Using an improv piecing method, students learn how to make a crazy-pieced center block and then build larger strips around it to make wonky log cabin blocks. The blocks can be turned into a wall hanging, table runner, throw or full sized quilt.

In this introductory course, students learn the basics of what's needed to get started with this method of raw-edge appliqué.  Using the template and "Garden Window" pattern provided with the class materials, students will create their own version of the mini wall hanging quilt, or they can make a new template to create their own.  This is the perfect precursor to my "Let's Make a Selfie-Portrait Quilt" course.  (Beginner)
